Area Director

Our Area Directors are responsible for a team of Financial Planning Managers. Working with a Regional Director, the job involves developing a strategy that will meet our customers’ complex needs whilst generating a steady flow of new business and motivating the sales team.

As well as setting tough but achievable targets, you’ll carry out regular reviews with your team and make sure they are equipped to deliver the best advice to our customers. Working closely with each team member, you’ll help them build profitable, long-term relationships and ensure they meet the high professional standards our customers expect of us.

One of the key roles for our Area Directors is strengthening the relationship between Financial Planning Managers and their colleagues across the bank. It’s these colleagues, after all, who’ll be referring customers to them for specialist financial advice.

This is a key role within BFP and one that demands an in-depth knowledge of financial services products, sales processes and the risks and regulations of investing. On top of your detailed technical knowledge, you’ll also need excellent leadership skills and an understanding of how to get the best out of a sales team.
